This newly created role reflects Yeovil College’s continued commitment to engineering excellence, curriculum growth and strong employer partnerships. You will deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across Control and Automation Engineering programmes, supporting full-time learners, apprentices and Higher Education students across Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4+ programmes. Covering both theoretical and practical elements of automation and control, including PLC programming, industrial control systems, robotics, instrumentation, electrical principles, process control and fault finding, you will develop learners’ technical capability, professional behaviours and workplace confidence. Working closely with employers and delivering training both on campus and within workplace environments, you will help prepare learners for the future of industry. What we're looking for:
- Knowledge of aeronautical or aerospace engineering, with at least 2 years technical experience.
- A level 4 qualification in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
- A passion for supporting students to learn and develop new skills.
- The ability to work successfully within a team.
- Proactive in initiating, developing and implement new ideas and developments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
What we offer:
Annual Salary: £39,917 up to £45,539 depending on experience
Full-time position, 37 hours per week, all year round.
