We have an exciting opportunity for an A Level History & A Level Politics Course Manager to join our Kingston Sixth Form.

At Yeovil College we work with students who have enrolled on courses, because of their desire to work or go on to further study in that sector. Our average class size is 15 learners, allowing you the time to focus on individual progress and support to ensure our learners move further faster!

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of History to join our academically focussed Kingston Sixth Form team, this will include Course Management and teaching of the well-established A Level in History and the introduction of A Level Politics as a new addition to the Kingston Sixth Form curriculum offer.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of successfully teaching A Level History.
  • Evidence of achieving good or better lesson observations in a school or FE setting.
  • Relevant degree.
  • Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or PGCE or willingness to work towards.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C (or equivalent) or above.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain appropriate work systems.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Well organised, systematic approach to work.
  • Flexible approach to workload.

Salary: £28,755 - £37,169 depending on qualifications and experience.

Relocation Package available where applicable.

Full time, 37 hours per week, all year round.
