If you are looking for your first step into the world of Business Administration this Summer, then we are keen to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Administrator Apprentice to join our busy Employer Engagement Team, supporting the day to day activity of the team promoting and onboarding Yeovil College apprentices. This role is key to the successful running of the team and you will be working closely alongside the Apprenticeships Support Administrator, co-ordinating the team’s diaries, preparing enrolment packs and acting as the first point of contact for the team. If you are interested in starting your career in an enthusiastic and motivated team with experience of supporting apprentices, this could be the role for you.

This role will also involve receiving telephone calls from staff, students, employers, parents and others, dealing with enquiries where possible or redirecting calls as required while also receiving and directing visiting students and employers to the relevant team member, support the Apprenticeship Team to promote apprenticeships within the college and to local employers.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following: 

  • As this is a Level 3 apprenticeship, you will need to hold GCSE English & Maths at grade 4 or above (or Level 2 equivalent qualification).
  • Ability to work successful as a team.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc).
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Well organised, systematic approach to work
  • Motivated and willingness to succeed.

Salary: £12,347.46 - As of April 2024

Full time, 37 hours per week, all year round

18-24 months FTC - August 2024 start date.
