Yeovil College is looking for a two confident, approachable and highly motivated individual's to become our Campus Support Responder's, joining our busy and expanding Student Support Team.  As part of the role, you will be responsible for the monitoring of students in and around campus ensuring and promoting positive behaviour, while making sure student and staff safety is your top priority. You will respond to first aid and wellbeing incidents around campus and as a First Responder report safeguarding concerns to the Student Support Team.  As a member of the Student Support Team, you will patrol the campus, monitor the wearing of lanyards, and support busy areas during lunch times and breaks. If you have experience working with young people 16+ and vulnerable adults and have a solution focussed approach to challenges, we would like to hear from you.

The successful Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • Experience working with young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Good incident management skills.
  • Approachable but assertive approach.
  • Well organised and initiative-taking.
  • Calm measured approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Model and promote positive behaviours.
  •  First aid training (or willingness to complete)
  •  GCSE English & Maths at grade C or above (or the equivalent or the willingness to work towards).

Salary: Actual £19,268 (FTE £23,696)

Full time, 37 hours per week, Term time only.
