We are looking for an inspiring Course Manager to lead our A Level Politics and Business programmes at Kingston Sixth Form. As Course Manager for A Level Politics and A Level Business, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional curriculum that combines academic excellence with real-world insight. Using your subject expertise and awareness of current affairs, you will inspire students to explore political ideas, business decisions and economic challenges beyond the textbook, making learning relevant, engaging and impactful. Working closely with the Kingston Sixth Form team, you will lead outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring high levels of achievement, progression and value added. You will oversee course quality, monitor learner progress and assessment, coordinate curriculum resources, support enrichment opportunities, and work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve the student experience. You will also lead course reviews, contribute to curriculum development, and ensure programmes meet awarding body and college standards, helping students achieve success while developing the knowledge and confidence they need for their future. 

 

What we're looking for: 

  • An inspiring teacher with experience delivering A Level Politics and/or A Level Business. 
  • A strong track record of engaging learners and achieving excellent outcomes. 
  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). 
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent). 
  • A passion for bringing subjects to life through relevant, real-world learning. 
  • Excellent organisation, communication and teamwork skills. 
  • The ability to motivate students and create a positive learning environment. 
  • A proactive, flexible approach with high expectations of yourself and your learners.
