As a Student Recruitment Consultant  you'll be an integral part of our mission to motivate students and shape their futures within the world of Apprenticeships and Skills Bootcamps. Assisting the Employer Engagement team in the successful recruitment of apprentices for employers and supporting the Adult Careers and Apprenticeship Placement Lead with Skills Bootcamps. 

This role will involve the advertising of apprenticeship vacancies for employers using all available avenues utilising technology and social media, remaining proactive, keeping on top of innovative approaches. You will shortlist candidates as required carrying out initial interviews and screenings where required while providing effective information, advice and guidance to candidates to support decision making into the right apprenticeship, as best as possible. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with employers throughout the recruitment process, providing updates, discussing candidates, arranging interviews and confirming interview outcomes. You will be required to ensure you maintain an up to date knowledge of current specifications for apprenticeship standards and provide excellent customer service at all times.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following: 

  • A good understanding of recruitment processes and employers’ legal requirements in relation to recruitment and retaining staff.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeships.
  • GCSE Grade A-C in maths & English or equivalent.
  • Administration/IT qualifications at Level 2 or equivalent. 
  • A higher-level qualification (Level 4 and above).
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills as well as strong attention to details.
  • Strong experience of using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Forms/Teams).
  • Confident using social media.
  • Pro-active and innovative thinker.
  • Confident with presenting to a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support and facilitate careers advice.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of an effective team.
