Yeovil College is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Assessor to support the development of future talent within the Creative and Design Industries Department. On a flexible zero-hour contract, you will claim for hours completed at a competitive rate of £23.33 per hour. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference in learners' lives by delivering and assessing high-quality training in supply chain innovation and continuous improvement.


In this brand new role, you will provide an outstanding service to learners, staff, and stakeholders. You’ll contribute to the department's operational and strategic goals by coaching apprentices and adult learners in alignment with employer needs and apprenticeship standards. Your responsibilities will include effective planning, delivery, and assessment of qualifications, building strong relationships with local organisations, and maintaining a diverse caseload. This role also involves guiding learners through gateway and end-point assessments, ensuring timely success and progression, all while using your manufacturing or warehouse experience to confidently deliver training in Lean, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Improvement principles. What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or other relevant industrial or workplace-based environments.

• Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships with employers and industry partners.

• A confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders.

• Genuine passion for supporting young people in developing new skills and achieving their potential.

• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
