Teacher of A Level Geography
The Henley College is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A Level Geography teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, teaching and learning experience and a genuine passion for inspiring the next generation.
Essential Criteria
• · Relevant teaching degree
• · Teaching qualification (or working towards a full teaching qualification)
• · Commitment to active and student-centered learning
• · Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
• · Well-developed organisational skills
• · The work collaboratively with a committed team of teachers and support staff• Planning and preparing courses and lessons in particular Year 1 and Year 2 AQA A Level Geography.
• Teaching, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to you including the setting and marking and assessment of work to be carried out by the student in college and elsewhere;
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students in each case having regard to the curriculum for the college.
• Internal moderation and moderation of assessed work
• Support students in developing both theoretical understanding and practical skills.
Other duties
• Assist with the organisation and running of fieldwork trips

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Location: Henley on Thames
Tenure of post: Permanent, Part - Time
Annual leave: 66days per leave year (from 1 September to 31 August) (Pro rata for Part time)
Salary: The salary will be on The Henley Colleges Teachers’ Spine Point from £30,759.00 up to £48,513.00 per annum (pro -rated for part time) (Prorated for Part – Time)
Start Date: 1st Sept 2026
Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (optional). This is an employee and employer contributory pension scheme.
