The Henley College is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Teacher of Politics to join their team.

You'll be responsible for teaching A Level Politics courses and should be familiar with planning and teaching activities. This role is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers who are committed to empowering young people to thrive in their education.

Your key responsibilities will include planning and preparing courses and lessons, teaching students, assessing and recording their progress, providing guidance and advice on educational and social matters, and contributing to the college's marketing activities. You'll also need to adhere to the college's policies and procedures and provide assessments, reports, and references relating to individual and groups of students.

To be considered for this role, you should have a teaching qualification (or be working towards one), a degree in the relevant field, and a commitment to active and student-centred learning. You should also have good organizational skills and be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff.

Terms of Employment

Tenure of post: Permanent, Term Time Only, Variable Contract

Hours of work: 0.6 - 0.9 FTE

Start Date: 1st September 2023

Annual leave: 66 days per leave year (from 1 September to 31 August) (pro-rated for part time)

Salary: The salary will be on the Henley College Teachers’ Spine from £28,034.00 up to £44,215.00 per annum (pro-rated for part time)
