What's new to FEjobs this spring?
As we enter the last term of the year, more updates to your Client Portal and our job board have been underway to give you and candidates the best experience possible.
Find out what’s new below:
Blind recruiting advancements
We’ve taken steps to improve the “blind recruitment” functionality so that schools and colleges have the option to use this feature to promote fair and equal recruitment. As an Administrator, when you enable blind recruiting in the Settings, your Hiring Managers will be able to see less identifiable candidate data.
When blind recruiting is enabled, candidate data within the Candidate tab has been anonymised, including names, avatars, and addresses. On top of this, the Email tab has been fully hidden, and any candidate sliders in the Recruiting Pipeline or Candidate tab have had further data anonymised.
These changes will further help schools and colleges who are committed to provide equal opportunities for all your candidates, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or race.
Assigning candidates improvements
When you want to assign a candidate to a vacancy from multiple places within the Client Portal e.g., Talent Pool, Candidates tab or Vacancies tab, there are now detailed filter options available, including a search option and integrated email communications. This means you can achieve the whole process from one place, saving time and providing a cleaner and more intuitive navigation experience. Additionally, you can now bulk assign from within the Candidate tab and Talent Pool.
ECT (Early Career Teacher) updates
As you’ll be aware, from September 2021, the government updated the term for a new teacher from “NQT” (Newly Qualified Teacher) to “ECT” (Early Career Teacher). In line with this change, we’ve updated the “NQT” language across the Client Portal and our job board to reflect the new “ECT” terminology.
Client Portal reporting and analysis
Within the Client Portal, the Vacancy Performance report and the Low Response report has been redesigned to improve performance even further. This includes faster loading time and a better experience for users within our reporting suite.
Followed vacancies update
Updates have been made so that when you select the followed tab in Vacancies, all followed jobs for the selected school filter and vacancy status will now show, instead of just only filtering the first 20 jobs.
We’ve also made some changes to our job board to enhance candidate experience and ensure your jobs are even more visible and available to the right candidates.
Saved jobs and incomplete application reminder emails
We’ve also made some changes to our job board to enhance candidate experience and ensure your jobs are even more visible and available to the right candidates.
All application methods have been updated to trigger an incomplete application reminder email when the "Fast Apply" or "Apply Now" button is pressed on the job search results and job details pages. This will help increase application numbers, regardless of which application method you use.
A new template has also been created for sending an email when an application has taken place on a Career Site. If the job is saved or application is started in Welsh, a Welsh version of the email will be sent. Plus, tracking links have been added to both buttons for data analysis within our reporting suite.
