What's new to FEjobs this winter?
We are already 2 months into 2022 and a lot has been happening at FEjobs. Over the course of winter, we’ve been busy making important updates to our products to ensure your recruitment strategy is ready for the new year and beyond.
Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) declaration updates
In line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2021 guidelines, outlined by the UK government, we have made some changes to our online application form. You can now choose whether you ask candidates for declaration data at the application stage. We’ve also added a new best practice email template to help you if you choose to collect them at the shortlist stage instead.
Simplified Recruiting Pipeline
To ensure you have a clear picture of your pipeline, the “Assigned” stage of the Recruiting Pipeline will only be visible when there are candidates allocated to this stage. This means your pipeline experience is simplified when you have no candidates assigned.
Identifying roles in the drop-down list is now easier
We’ve lengthened the drop-down role selector under Job Categorisation to show more options when selecting from the taxonomy for your vacancy. The list of visible roles has been expanded from six to twelve, providing a better user experience when choosing the correct role(s) for your vacancy.
Live chat Bot can provide answers
We now have an Answer Bot as part of our Live Chat functionality. The Bot is connected to the Eteach Group knowledge base, providing 24/7 support for when you need quick answers or further information about your Client Portal. Need more support that the Bot just can’t answer? Don’t worry. When the Answer Bot can’t help, it will direct you to an available member of the team to assist you further.
Retained school filtering in Group functionality
If you’re a Group owner and you have filtered by a college or multiple colleges, then move onto a different page in the same area and back again, this page will now retain your chosen filtering. This is now active on the Reports tab, Vacancies tab and the Dashboard.
We’ve also made key updates to our job board, ensuring our candidates receive the best experience and your vacancies are in front of the right people for the position. Find out more below.
A cleaner Career Page experience
The logos in the “Our Jobs” section on the right-hand side of your Career Page have been improved, giving a cleaner experience to candidates, as well as making the most of your employer brand.
Candidates can see expired jobs for longer
Due to a request from the international schools and colleges we support, the length of time that an expired job can be viewed on the job board has changed from 6 months to 12 months.
Candidates can see their potential commute time
We’ve updated our data technology, so the commute distance is displayed when candidates are searching for jobs on Google. This will increase the chance of jobs posted on FEjobs being more visible than other job sites, making FEjobs the further education job board of choice when looking to attract candidates.
