Annual Leave

Generous holiday entitlement: Business Support staff receive 25 days annual holiday plus 8 statutory days (pro rata for part time staff) rising to 30 days after 5 years of service.  Teaching staff receive 11 weeks holiday. Management have an annual entitlement of 35 days plus statutory holidays.  Buying of annual leave is also available for some categories of staff.

 Car Parking

Free car parking is available to staff and students on our campus with overspill facilities nearby.

The college offers a Child Care Voucher Scheme as part of its employee benefits package. We have negotiated a 5% discount for any staff members who use the above nursery for childcare.

 Eye Care

The College offers Optical Care Vouchers through Specsavers (i.e. eye test and contribution towards the cost of corrective appliances up to the value of £65.00). Alternatively, staff may be reimbursed a total of £35 towards the cost of an eye test and new prescription from all other Opticians, upon provision of receipts.

We offer a full range of hair and beauty treatments provided by our fully supervised students.  All treatments are offered at a greatly discounted cost, using the high quality products within the Distinction salon.

Up to £1,000 payable over 12 months available to all permanent staff with at least one year’s service and successful completion of their probation period.

 Season Ticket Loans for Permanent Staff

Applications may be made for a loan to cover the second class season ticket for travel between home and the College. Application via payroll.  T&C apply.

We believe in rewarding our staff for their loyalty and commitment to the college by presenting very generous 10, 15, 20 and 25 years long service awards annually.

 Pension Scheme

The College offers two final salary pension schemes, The Teachers’ Pension Scheme for Academic staff and Wiltshire Pension Fund for Business Support staff.  Phased retirement is applicable to both pension schemes.  For further advice, contact the HR Department.

We offer a range of food and drink in our college restaurant which includes Aspretto Coffee Shop.

 Social Committee

We have an extremely active and well supported Social Committee who arrange a number of events throughout the year including theatre trips, quiz nights, cake sales, raffles, weekly lottery draw etc.  The College currently donates a large amount of the proceeds from these events to a local charity which is chosen by staff each year.

 Sports Centre

All staff are entitled to membership of the college sports centre at highly subsidised rates.  Our sports centre has a well-equipped gym, 4 badminton courts/5 a side football and various organised exercise classes. 

 Staff Education, Development & Training

We are committed to supporting the continuous professional development of our staff. We offer a diverse range of training and development opportunities as part of the college annual training plan. We encourage personal and professional career growth and believe in developing potential for the future through staff career planning.

 All permanent members of staff can receive a 50% discount on specified courses once they have completed their probationary period.

 Staff Star Awards

Each year we celebrate the excellence and sing the praises of our incredible staff by presenting a number of awards for outstanding performance in a range of categories, as voted by our staff and students.  These awards are presented at a lively and enjoyable end of year staff ceremony which is combined with the Long Service Awards.

 Staff Support Services

In addition to an internal confidential counselling advice process, all permanent members of staff have access to confidential, offsite Staff Support Services; they provide a range of support systems including preventative care measures, crisis intervention and personal support for up to 6 sessions in a twelve month rolling year.  New College meets this cost.
