Are you considering teaching in Hertfordshire? If you are looking to enjoy the natural rural beauty of England within a stone’s throw of the buzz of London, Hertfordshire offers the best of both worlds.
Teaching in Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire has recently made significant investments in terms of project time as well as money, towards securing top teachers and lecturers for their classrooms. The Hertfordshire Trust are embracing technological advancements that simplify finding teaching vacancies online but also to apply electronically, cutting hours out of the application process so that teachers and lecturers can apply to more and move easily between schools and colleges.
Hertfordshire is located directly north of London and can be reached easily by rail or motorway between 15 and 45 minutes. The four largest towns in Hertfordshire are Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, Watford and St Albans.
About Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire is perhaps best known for its national parks and stately homes which welcome international music events and classic culture events alike, such as Knebworth House, Hatfield House and Stanborough Park.
A good deal of Hertfordshire in undeveloped green belt land making it one of the most beautiful regions in which to live. The Chilterns, a 460 square mile chalk escarpment and wooded area, are officially an area of outstanding natural beauty. As a result, traditional Tudor buildings feature frequently in the local architecture of the beautiful rural towns. Six hills in Stevenage dates back to Roman times and was featured in the Harry Potter film series.
Despite this rich historical grounding, Hertfordshire is well known for its shopping towns Welwyn Garden City and Watford, as well as quick access to the big City: on a clear day in the southernmost point of Hertfordshire it is possible to see Canary Wharf.
